Sös innovation fick under vecka 13 uppdraget att ta fram prototyper på visir för att säkra tillgången. På mindre än 48 timmar lyckades man ta fram en protyp och producera 1500 visir med hjälp av studenter från KI.
Det har sedan dess kommit in många förfrågningar från andra sjukhus, både inom och utanför Sverige, som önskar göra samma sak. Därför har Sös innovation nu tagit fram en video där de visar hur de gjorde, med tillhörande manual och mallar för alla att använda (se under video). Kom ihåg att dessa instruktioner inte är facit på hur ett visir ska tillverkas, utan hur Sös innovation gjorde i ett första skede. Det finns alltså utrymme för förbättring, så det är fritt fram att testa, ändra och förbättra!
Här hittar du instruktioner för hur vi tillverkade dessa engångsvisir. Det inkluderar steg-för-steginstruktioner, samt mallar för att kunna starta egen produktion. Det är viktigt att mallarna printas ut på A3 med inställningen verklig storlek.

To secure our staff with enough face shields, something which has become a scarcity since the covid-19 outbreak, we at Södersjukhuset (one of the largest hospitals in Stockholm) started with a production of our own, to serve as a complement to the face shields we normally use. Last week, in a 48 hour sprint, Södersjukhuset’s Innovation team prototyped, tested and produced, almost 1500 shields with the help of medical students from the Karolinska Institute.
Over the last days we have received many requests from other hospitals within and outside of Sweden, who would like to do the same. Therefore, we made an instruction video (above), a manual as well as templates for everyone to use. Please note that these instructions show how we went about producing these face shields, there are probably plenty of other, and better, ways to produce them. So feel free to hack, test, and improve!
