PrEP at Venhälsan
Just over 2.000 people are receiving treatment with PrEP at Venhälsan.
Since September 2022, we unfortunately have a waiting list for PrEP. The waiting time has been 12-13 months as the demand is much higher than our capacity.
From the end of September 2023, PrEP treatment is also offered at Specialistmottagning sexuell hälsa Huddinge, Karolinska University Hospital. They do not have their own waiting list, but offers to start with PrEP at Huddinge is sent to those who have waited the longest on our waiting list.
In September 2024, four additional clinics will start providing PrEP treatment in Stockholm and hopefully the waiting time will decrease significantly.
